In the Cards v3!

Yup, here's the new layout. Nothing fancy, but it's a lot easier to read with the text spaced out more and a lot less purple. Not that there's anything wrong with purple, but a steady diet of purple on purple on purple gets to you after a while. =p The site's been completely reorganized, so please tell me if you find any broken links or other funky stuff. I've also added a TCG review and mentoring "service" for TCG owners. This is not to prove my greatness or whatever, but a genuine offer of advice and assistance to anyone who is interested. And, of course, everything is 100% confidential. That's all for now! |

okay, I'm over myself

I'm open for hosting again. I've rewritten the hosting rules - trimmed out a lot of nonsense and (hopefully) clarified the more important points. I'm serious about sticking to the rules, though - incomplete applications are going to be deleted without a response. I need to stay sane. So, I'm done with my public display of emo-ness. For now. I had two other TCG-related ideas that I might incorporate into this site. Could I get some feedback? 1. Owner appreciation awards As a TCG owner myself, I realize just how much work people put into TCGs and how thankless that job can be. I'd like to do something for the owners who have given a lot to their members and have done innovative, creative things. This award would be something more than a pretty graphic. I'd like to give something of value that can be emailed, like an Amazon gift certificate. Funding could come through auctions, donations, or I could just buy the award myself since it wouldn't happen too often. The catch is... how to do it? I want this to be a mostly personal thing, but I would like to hear recommendations from players too, since I obviously can't be a member of every TCG out there! 2. TCG reviews Just wondering if any TCG owners would be interested in a review that would help them improve. Reviews wouldn't be public, but a private email exchange between myself and the owner. I could rate and advise on areas such as clarity of writing (rules and about), variety of games, rewards, level structure, site organization, networking, and other topics. Just a thought. Also, I need a new layout because the menu on this one is just too long - and I plan to add more content soon. Plus readability is something of an issue with all this purple on purple action. I'll be using the same image, though - it's Clavis with cards, it doesn't get any more appropriate for this site. =p One new affiliate, too!

grumbling & a plug
|
|
This isn't a real update, sorry... still not open for hosting yet. I'm feeling rather discouraged about helping out with this site at the moment, mainly because of issues with templates. About 90% of the template requests I receive don't include the two pieces of information that I need. I request the information on the templates page AND on the contact form. These two items are: - URL of the TCG where the template will be used - PSP or PSD? I feel like people just come along and want to grab things without paying attention - like they're GREEDY. These are two simple requests, and one is critical! How can I send the template if I don't know what format is needed? Between this and the I-need-hosting-oh-now-I-don't requests, I feel like people are taking advantage of me. Thus, I will be on hosting hiatus for a while longer so I can pout in the corner until I feel better. The worst part is, the people who sympathize aren't the ones who cause the problems... On a lighter note, Marfisa would like me to plug Icera's site Muse, because the TCG update script there is very easy to understand and would be a great help to owners. So check it out!
